I am a solidworks user, but I sometimes have to use catia for mandates.

For my part, I work with SolidWorks in a company and I study with Catia in the classroom (apprentice). So I sometimes design parts with these two softwares. To do this, I save them in suitable formats to make it possible to import them to both.

You can use the STEP format which is a neutral format, well I think...

The question is more related to the parallels or differences you make between the 2 softwares.

Without necessarily falling into the "Catia is great, SW sucks" or the other way around.

 

On a daily basis, what are the advantages and the major challenges in parallel use?

 

For exchanges between the 2, neutral formats or datakits do the job :)
