I just acquired SW, after installation impossible to launch Visualize, yet it is part of the pack I just acquired ???, according to some site it would take two product keys !!, while it is part of the pack!!
Could you help me?, thank you Regards and have a good Sunday
I confirm @Centor's words because in fact they are two different softwares.
In addition, at SW they like to complicate things, they are the champions of polysemy. it will soon take a Karnaugh table to have a valid hypothesis.
Comparison (if I understood the confusion correctly)
1°) You can continue to use solidworks for a few years even if you don't take annual maintenance.
2°) if you don't take annual maintenance for basic Visualize then you can't use it anymore after a year (so mandatory annual fee for visualize which is not very high 450 € of memory)
The confusing thing about the pack is that the first time you use SW+Visu, they consider Visualize basic to be free for a year. In other words, you are in maintenance for one year on both products.
If you wanted to Visualize without buying SW you would have to pay for the software but maybe the version higher than the basic version which is quite expensive.
As a result, you have at least two keys, the same if you use cam, etc... These two keys have been provided to you, otherwise call the hotline they are nice and will fix it for you in two minutes ;-)
A bit like the Xpress add-ons for which you have to go to the SW site to get a code when it's part of the basic installation.
Always pleasant, for the basic user (not the one who does the installs and has the company's access codes) to have to interrupt to go find the referrer (hoping that he is available). Fortunately, it is only at the first start
