Assigning Ratings and Other Annotations to a Level

Hello
I've set up our drawing templates so that dimensions and other annotations are displayed on a certain layer here DIMENSIONS:
bleu

I then assigned the blue color to the DIMENSIONS layer.
niveaux

But it doesn't change anything, when I create a dimension it always shows in black.
To make it show up in blue, I have to force the DIMENSIONS layer by default.
Did I miss something?

Thank you.

Hello;
Have you thought about making your changes directly in the drawing templates? (*.drwdot and *.slddrt). And to save them of course.
You can also save your Skin Standards with these changes.
=> If this is the case, you should also think about reloading your models if you are working on an old drawing.

Personal note: Save your models to a directory other than the one in Solidworks (by default), this will save you from having to redo everything if you upgrade to a higher version (or reinstall).
Remember to reference this new location in " file location" in the Solidworks options.

Hello
Thank you for the answer, yes I did make the changes in the DRWDOT models and these are stored on a server so that they are available to solidworks users.
But I can't really understand the management of layers(levels), in many software you assign a color, a line style and for example an e thickness, you select what you want to put on the layer and these elements are displayed in the line style, thickness and color.
But apparently it doesn't work, or I missed something.
I'm on 2024 SP4.

As @Maclane also says the *.slddrt basemaps.

Thank you for your answers.
I modified the slddrt but it didn't change anything, I realized that there was an active layer by default (small blue arrow next to the name of the layer).
In the end, for it to work, don't forget to choose " ACCORDING TO THE STANDARD " in the name of the layer:

norme

At first glance, layer assignments in the basemap properties are not preserved

Is the color of the ribs in the MEP checked on default?

If your stroke format is on black instead of on Default, it's normal for your strokes to be black
