Line display burst on the drawing?

Hello

How do I display explode lines automatically?

Add explode lines

To add explode lines to an exploded view, use a Sketch with Explode Lines (a type of 3D sketch).

To insert a sketch with burst lines:

  1.  Click Sketch with ExplodeTool_Explode_Line_Sketch_Assembly.gif  Lines (Assembly toolbar) or Insert > Sketch with Explode Lines .

The Sketch with Explode Lines toolbar appears. ExplodeTool_Route_Line_Explode_Sketch.gif  Line is enabled, and the Explode Line PropertyManager opens.

  2. Add explode lines using the following tools:
    •  Click PropertyManager Tool_Route_Line_Explode_Sketch.gif (Exploded Lines toolbar)
    • Click Line with PickupTool_Jog_Line_Explode_Sketch.gif (Exploded Lines toolbar)
    • Other 3D Sketching Tools (Sketch Toolbar)

All lines of a sketch with explode lines with mixed line font and dashes.

  3. Close the sketch.

The 3D Sketch  CfgMgr_Explode_Sketch.gifBurst appears in ConfigurationManager under SketchCfgMgr_ExplView.gif View.

I agree, but I would like to display them on my drawing?

Your technique works very well but it seems to me that in the old versions of solidworks, it did it automatically.

Whereas here, you have to click on all the pieces.

Hello, to display them in the drawing, you go to VIEW and you display the sketches. Because in the end it's only a sketch.

Kind regards

nothing changes G.

In the exploded view of the assembly you should have the sketch called "3D Exploder1", right click on it and click on "Show".

I did it but nothing changes...

And still in the assembly, "display"; "sketch"  is enabled?

In your assembly, when it is burst, do you see the line?

Yes in my assembly the "sketch" icon is validated.

yes I see the lines in my assembly

Ok so already the problem comes from the drawing. In the drawing options, which option do you have to check??? Personally, I have the options of the attached file.

Hello

To display a sketch in the MEP, select your view in the tree view (the view on which this sketch should appear, of course) and expand the content. You should see your sketch, right-click show. If it is not displayed after that, check with the displayed icon (the eye) that the sketch icon is checked. Normally you should have it displayed in your view.

I just put all your G parameter. but nothing changes.

A.Leblanc We don't see the sketch of the burst lines in the drawing tree.

Uh, there you managed to dry me. If you see your sketch in the assembly, if you put everywhere, see the sketches and it doesn't work, um, there must be a parameter that has been skipped. Are you in isometric uncut view?

And the worst thing is that out of the 20 lines I have on the assembly, I'm only 2 that appear.

but not all the others.

Hello

normally when you use the exploded view function in your assembly and you make a MEP, when you select the view (be careful the section view always depends on another view) you should have this:

Yes, I have that. A.Leblanc

Hello

Maybe a bug, have you tried a ctrl+Q on your drawing? Try closing your drawing and solidworks and restart solidworks to see if it changes anything.

Ok, see the attached video:

PS: the 3D sketch of exploded lines of sight is not included in the tree, it is available from the configurations. You can create a 3D sketch to define your explode lines in the assembly, and then when you use the "sketch with explode lines" feature, your 3D sketch is converted, but still available from your tree view.

Thanks to all, I found my burst lines were drawn in construction line when it should have been in full sketch line.

On the construction line, they can be seen in 3d but not in drawing.
