Help on simulatoin

Hello

I'm in SW 2018

I can't make the mesh even using only one tube

Intuitively I have the impression that the pb is in "contact between components" but in fact I don't see what the problem is.

Thank you in advance for your help

Kind regards

Hello

I answer myself according to the time-honored formula. In fact, I confused the coarse and fine mesh direction.

I had put rude in the sense that I was not looking for great precision. The only problem is that the size of the mesh is 26 mm and the object 20 so it could not mesh. I put it at 3mm and since then it has worked.

If, on the other hand, you have advice to give me, I'm interested of course because I don't often do fakes so I lose my hand fatally.

Kind regards

Hello

your assembly is empty...

the documents must be provided

Excuse me and excuse me Thomas

I'll fix it right away (I know it plus I'm becoming a moron :-)   )

In fact I would like to be able to simplify the model because I can't go to the end of the simu that crashes.

I don't remember how to make a kind of cut or finally the simu of doing it only on half of the physical model as if we had cut the physical model in half.

I would also like to replace the tubes with springs (in the sense of SW simulation's connectors) but I don't know how to fix them in the holes.

Kind regards

Sorry I'm in 2017. I can't read... :(

To simplify the model on the symmetry planes, you do an extrusion in the context of the assembly. Then don't forget to put a symmetry hypothesis on all the faces concerned in your study.

Thank you Thomas

For symmetry, does this mean that originally my two pieces were to be designed as half-pieces that I complete with symmetry.

Or do I cut the pieces in half by removing material for example.

Thank you for your help, have a good day

Kind regards

edit: typographical corrections

Hello

I do a little up because I have a problem because I use the connectors badly which gives me results that are not in line with reality.

Can you tell me what I have to do so that the tubes (which are considered as freighted or welded) do not go through.

The purpose of the simu is just to evaluate the deformation of the beam and possibly the tubes.

I hope you can help me because I'm stuck.   (all files are in the zip  :-)  )

Kind regards

Hello dear colleagues,

I do a small UP because my problem is still not solved.

With all the burly maouss of the forum, I would be very surprised if there wasn't someone who could answer.

Kind regards

PS: otherwise I will have to close this topic with my unsolved   problem Sniff

in the tree, right-click on "Connections"

Contacts between components / Global contact / Solidarity

and tick "global contact"

Hello

Thank you Olivier I'll try this and I'll give you a feedback

Kind regards

Good evening Olivier

It still doesn't work. Always the same flaws!

Kind regards

Can we have a capture of the "tree" in a little bigger?

and another of the graphic part, without any results displayed, just the entries

Hello Olivier

I hope that's what you're asking :-)

Thank you for your help.

Hello 0 all

Thank you but I finally found the solution to the problem which was indeed a bad setting. I read the online help in detail and did various tests.

Practice makes you strong at swearing.

A reference geometry had to be added for the two surfaces, the edge of the tube and the beam.

Meanwhile, the simulation is done in less than 10 minutes, including the mesh.

I put you the enlarged photo of the settings before closing the subject.

Kind regards
