Adding Trapezoidal Threads to the SW2013 Drill Wizard

Hi all

I would like to add trapezoidal threads to the SolidWORKS 2013 drilling assistant/toolbox.

How is the configuration done?

Is it in the toolbox that we need to act?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello

It seems to me that you can, in the Toolbox, only add "classic" threads like an M14x1.0 (not classic in its dimensioning but in its design).

The trapezoidal bridle has a flat edge so it's more of a hassle since it is not programmable in SW nets.

I rummage around a bit and come back if I find anything.

Good luck

EDIT: Then there is always the Altitech library which has all the sketches to make the trapezoidal threads. I replied to a post a little while ago on this with all the links if you want.

I won't go through the toolbox :-(

I would create a piece with the right net

After inserting this part on the support with the Boolean operation

you end up with your support and your correct tapping and really draw

it's in case you want a real net

Hello

Be careful, concerning the AltiTech libraries, you must check that the files are not from a SolidWorks Education version before inserting them into your designs.

Kind regards
