Add a new drilling type in Drilling Assist

Hello

I would like to make square holes to put TRCC screws. Ideally, I would like to be able to put in "drilling assistance" a new type of square drilling  this time (in addition to milling, countersunk groove, chambering...). It is set up in the same way as the other holes according to the size of the M4 M6 screws... And like the other holes, we will just need a point (and possibly an orientation) to position it.

How can it be set up in solidworks?

thank you in advance

Thomas

Hello

In my opinion, this is impossible, because they are only circular material removal.

You have to create a library function, it will be easier:

Hello

I think you should create blocks (1 for each type of screw or 1 with confgs)  and then put them in the sketch to remove material. Otherwise I don't see how to do it

via the smart components you can insert your part and as this part has been created and configure the holes or drilling as well as the parts put themselves in place it 's magic ;-)

See this communication thread as well as the links you will find tutorials for an explanation
