I imagine that my opinion carries little or no weight in your decision, but I cannot help but express my regret and disappointment about the new "logo" of the forum.
To start the name : Lynkoa is in my eyes a name so much prettier, original, exotic and friendly than myCAD, which is less distinctive. Especially since I knew him by that name, there is also a form of sentimental attachment.
Then the logo : How to say it nicely... The new one is not a logo but a simple typo that is particularly banal and impersonal. Unlike the old Lynkoa logo, full of meaning, representing 2 links in a chain of solidarity. A bubble in a link, wonderfully illustrating support, communication, online mutual aid, conviviality, solidarity. A direct link between those who know and those who want to know, between those who help and those who want to be helped. The logo couldn't have been better (I congratulate its author by the way!). In addition, the Lynkoa logo was a real icon, which in addition to being visually pleasing, was adapted to a role as a favicon (the small icon in the browser tab) recognizable and readable. While this new one, not at all.
In my opinion, it was a bad choice that was made there... Unless it is only temporary and transitory.
I assume that behind this choice there is a more marketing decision in high places that dispenses with our low judgments and aesthetic considerations, but if there is a tiny chance that this message will encourage you to think about it again, I give it a try.

We couldn't talk about it to unveil the new identity today, which sticks to the graphic identity of the Visiativ group. But we're going to make the new Mycad site more friendly, and you, the members, are going to contribute to it. We are launching a challenge to imagine the Mycad mascot. And among all the proposals, it is you, the members, who will vote for your favorite creation. And then this mascot will be found everywhere on the site and will become the identity of the community, which will be recognized from afar. @Coralie will explain all this to you in the coming hours
The whole team is very touched by your message; We understand that the Lynkoa logo is important to you, given the very strong symbolism with the community.
But this new myCAD logo is only a renewal and gives a new dynamic to the community, without changing it! The community remains the same, with its mutual aid, its conviviality, its sharing... You, the users, also keep the same links with the community!
And in order to bring this new logo to life, I will offer you a new design challenge starting Monday, where you will have to design the new mascot of the community! You will then be free to imagine a new symbol, a new figure... And the members of the jury will be you! Because it's up to you to choose which mascot will best represent you
