Gradual appearance of an element in SolidWorks 2021 animation

Hello

As part of my job, I have to do a motion study on SolidWorks 2021 to show the order in which the different elements of an assembly are put in place.

Thanks to the animation assistance, I proceeded to assemble the assembly in accordance with the exploded view previously created.

However, I have a problem with the last element of this assembly.

I want to hide it at the beginning (that's ok), then make it appear gradually from a certain point in the animation, i.e. transparent at the beginning of its appearance, then more and more opaque.

But I can't do it. I manage to make it appear suddenly, but not gradually.

It must be possible because a few years ago, I managed to do the opposite process, that is to say to make a part gradually disappear. (It seems to me that it was on SolidWorks 2019)

Unfortunately, I haven't done any animation since then and I can't consult this old file to refresh my memory since I changed companies in the meantime.

Can someone help me?

Thank you in advance and wish you a good day,

Kind regards

Hello

For a gradual spawn, you need a starting key with an appearance > illumination > maximum amount of transparency (1.0), a second key positioned at the time of the start of the spawn with the same transparency as at the beginning, and then create a key further back (in time) with a transparency amount of 0. Then right-click on this last key > > linear interpolation mode (or any other than snapping).

For a gradual disappearance, it is enough to reverse the amounts of transparency.

NB: to see the "Illumination" tab in Appearance, you have to switch to Advanced mode instead of Basic.
