SOLIDWORKS DRAWING TIP

Hi all

I'm contacting you because there are things that I can't do in drawings in Solidworks and that I would like to be able to do them.

  1. The first (see photo "Local View") is a function that can be really practical.
  2. The second one (see photo "Sectional view n°2") is a function that I don't know how to do either, the standard sectional view yes but the solution n°2 no.

Thank you in advance for your help!

"Vue locale"

The solution is, unless I'm mistaken, an output section (according to my GDI of the last century!).

Solidworks calls it a deleted section view! see: SW help

Thank you for this answer, so indeed, on Solidworks 2020, this function is called "Section folded down"

Already a trick solved:)

Hello @Jordan

For the second part of the question you have to look at "Creating a local cross-sectional view"

Kind regards

Hello @Zozo_mp

First of all, thank you for your help!

I know the trick of the local cut to perform some operations but I'm not sure if I can achieve the "local view" with this function.

Tell us why it wouldn't be possible (it would be good to know)   ;-)

You should use a sketch made with a spline.

Kind regards
