BOCAD Software Reviews

Hello, here it is I am quietly evolving in the company in which I work and I learned last week that I will have to start making the transition between 2 companies of the same group, one is specialized in mechanics (where I currently work) and therefore uses solidworks that I know very well now but mechanics is not my favorite field, the other is specialized in metal framing and boilermaking but work on Bocad and I don't know this software at all so I wanted to have opinions if some people knew this software (you can't find much on the net). Obviously I am thinking of setting up the use of solidworks for small boilermaking work there but for carpentry I can't see myself doing it under solidworks (I am of course talking about a complete building).

Thank you for your feedback.

I didn't know about it.
The publisher's website is scary because there is no information.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to have 2 software programs (especially since in your case, one seems hyperspecialized) in the same company.

Precisely we don't find much information on their site and very little tutorial on the internet, I will see next week the ergonomics of this software and I will try to share my impressions with you.

You will find some videos on youtube (more in demo than tutorial) in the principle it looks like teckla and is much more targeted drawing / calculation of framework.

I think that bocad is recommended for the framework and indeed why not SW for the boiler parts.
