Beug EXCEL / SOLIDWORKS

Hello

I have a small problem with a colleague's PC.
When creating a part family, as well as in Excel and SolidWorks editing, freezes.

Excel works on its side, and so does SolidWorks.
There is a kind of incompatibility that I don't understand, my PC which has the same configuration works without problem

A solution?

Hello

It would be good to specify the versions of each of the software.

If you are multi-screen, are you sure that one window is not hidden behind another?

As mentioned, the version of excel can play, is it the same on the 2 PCs?
Is the version of excel compatible with that of SW?

Otherwise test with a compatible version.
Note that office 365 is not supposed to be compatible with SW (even if in practice I have many workstations with SW2023 and office 365.)

Indeed, or as when you go from a 4k resolution to a lower one, if a modal window is positioned in the lower part and/or on the far right, it remains out of frame.

If the colleague has reduced the resolution to see better... Maybe start by setting the resolution back to the maximum to put the window back on the top left before going back down the resolution.

SolidWorks 2022 to serve you, Excel 2016. Thank you for the link I'll gossip
@Sylk 2
So far no worries, the resolutions are at the max, Excel when creating a part family opens in the SolidWorks window. As for the dialog box, it does not appear

@Le_Bidule
I didn't see a window. SolidWorks in PLS mode, forcing you to kill Excel for a return to SolidWorks. And alternating files that don't want to open on one PC, and that opens on another.

@sbadenis so far we haven't had any problems of this kind, the PCs are all identical, not necessarily the best.

Well at the same time, when I see all the bugs especially lately, and the way the assemblies are modeled, I don't know which one to turn to :sweat_smile:

I was talking about this window that at home systematically opens on the screen of my laptop and not on the main screen and therefore blocks the process if you don't validate
