Annotation Library

Hello

I often have to add the same annotations in my MEPs, I would like to know if there is a possibility to make a kind of annotation library in the right pane of Solidworks?

Thank you and have a good day everyone!

Hello

Nothing for the moment in the myCAD tools, but the idea is good,

especially for annotations corresponding to rules such as welds

or simply a customizable list of annotations to drag

Hello

You need to create custom blocks:

http://help.solidworks.com/2011/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/LegacyHelp/Sldworks/Detailing/Blocks.htm?id=fb21b7f59739432bb40c67a2de4d96cb#Pg0

It's especially that my annotations are long and in 2 languages...

Thank you soon!

I'll see about the blocks, but I don't think it will be suitable

Hello

We use a network folder where all annotations are saved in SLDBLK or SLDNOTEFVT format in different folders, then "English" or "French" subfolders.

You need to add the parent folder (which contains all the subfolders) to the Design Library, which allows for quick navigation (Tools > Options > System Options > File Location > Design Library)

You can then drag and drop an annotation directly into a drawing from the "Design Library" tab:

http://help.solidworks.com/2013/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/r_design_library.htm

This is indicated in this help page:

"Subfolders filled by SolidWorks with reusable items such as parts, blocks, and annotations. You can add folders and content."

@BATCH123! So in your case it will be big blocks!

Especially for large annotations or complicated symbols, blocks are useful

1- Create a storage directory for your SolidWorks notes.

2- From the SolidWorks options then file locations and Design Library:

You point to your storage directory of your favorite annotations.

3- Still in the SolidWorks options then file locations and favorite Dimensions/Annotations:

You point to the same directory as before.

4- In a drawing:

you create your note then you click on it once and in the SolidWorks tree in "Style" you click on "save a style" (yellow star + the blue floppy).

You save your note (*.. sldnotestl) in your directory where you store your notes.

Here you have access to the right pane your favorite notes.
