Good Glass Bottle Design Software for Perfumery

Hello, I'm looking for a good software for designing glass bottles (mainly for application to perfumery), intuitive, easy to use and reasonably priced for a start-up. An overview of the functions I am looking for: design of a bottle, calculation of volume/internal capacity, and if possible calculation of manufacturing cost. Obviously, I don't need a software that is too complete with many additional modules such as sheet metal, etc... I am currently familiar with SolidWorks and NX.

Do you have any leads?

Thank you in advance.

With solidworks you could do whatever you want

in surface for design (even if it's not its essential role)

and transform it into volume to manage the capacity (contained volume)

in FOB rate for cost calculation

So solidworks

Hello as you can see in the link below, most of the bottles are made with SolidWorks and I don't think there is any specialized software. But there are free open source design software like freeCAD. http://grabcad.com/library/software/solidworks?per_page=100&query=perfume+bottle

Hello, being in the field of container glass, my customers use Catia and other solidworks

If it's to draw the bottle and send the file to a glassmaker in an IGS or step format, for free there is Freecad and bender

For the cost it is a molding calculation with either a pressed blow or a pressed press (industrial production) and I don't know of any free or cheap software.

You have to take into account the thickness of the glass and the distribution, the compression ring etc.....

SpaceClaim is a fairly open tool that can meet the need.

It is a 3D modeler with no construction constraints, a good tool for creation.

See attached video to play with internet connection

Hello Sam,

I recommend ZW3D, it's a good 3D creation and design software (volumetric and 3D surface configurable).

The price of ZW3D is very reasonable in the Lite version: 1000 €

You can have a lot of information about your creations (volume, size, etc.) directly, you can of course have nomenclature tables, dimensions, and make them appear on your drawings.

ZW3D Lite also allows you to export or import in many CAD formats (iges, stl, step, dwg ...)

I didn't have any trouble switching from solidworks to ZW3D, it's also very intutive.

To download and try it for free: http://www.zw3d.fr/

Thank you all for your answers!
