Hello, how to create a text or logo from an image or format Ai

Hello

I had asked this question here:

http://www.lynkoa.com/questions/importer-fichier-adobe-illustrator-dans-solidworks

This is not possible without Adobe Photoshop CS3 or later being  installed on your system.

Otherwise, the file must be converted to another image format (JPG) or 2D (DWG).

The easiest way is to insert an image of the logo into a sketch (Tools/Sketch Tools/Sketch Image)  and draw on it.

There is also a built-in tool to recognize edges (Autotrace complement as indicated below by @coyote) but it has its limits when you want to have a perfect rendering: a rectangle for example turns into a more or less straight spline depending on the quality of the image.

Hello Inkscape trial

See answer question forum ICI

There is no choice, you have to use illustrator, and then I don't know if it's saving as by choosing the DWG or DXF format, or if you have to export and then you choose the output format, well it's one of the two, but in any case you need adobe illustrator!!

Hello

@Benoit.if: You have to activate "Autotrace" in the add-ins to be able to vectorize an image.

Otherwise there are plugins to Draftsight that allow you to transform pdf files into dwg or dxf format!

Of course the image or ai must be transformed into a pdf.
