If you drew the grooves for the balls on the inter and exter rings, it would be easier.

Quick question: with freeCAD, you can't open files like STEP or Parasolid? You could directly go and find the desired bearing in the TraceParts tab of Lynkoa at INA or SKF!

Have you managed to model the ball bearing?

I can walk you through how to add marbles and other tricks if you need help.

 

You can import and export STEP with FreeCAD, and the list of compatible formats is quite huge.
