For the PDM, I have a search map that I have customized, I would like to make one for our buyers and that there are only the pdf or dxf that is displayed in relation to the product number. I tried to create 2 radio buttons, one that I called "pdf" and the other "dxf" so that they choose one or/and the other but it doesn't work. If someone could enlighten me.
Hello I did the same system as you some time ago (years), but I struggled a lot. I had to add a variable on all the data cards in the "PDF" and "DXF" files and other non-SW files. The value of this variable is assigned to them when they are created through an automatic transition in the document workflow. To make my life easier, the variable created is a "Free Variable" which means that it can be modified without extracting the file.
For the existing files, I was forced to extract the list of all the files from the vault via the MyPDMTool "DataRecovery" tool, sort the files by type (thanks to the Excel formulas), add to them in the Excel table the value corresponding to their type, then reinject everything via DataRecovery.
I don't know if it's a very clear explanation, maybe others have had less twisted ideas than mine.
Apart from Pierre S's solution, I don't see it. Note that this is feasible with a stupid export in Excel of the list of files in the vault and an Excel macro that fills in the free variable (I did this on our vault to add a map criterion not originally present).
Thank you for your answers. It's a real shame that it's not configurable. I'll wait a little if there are other answers, otherwise I'd do Pierre S.'s method.
