Hi all I created a mechanically welded part of 600 width and then I drew this part. As I needed the same part in 500 width, I made a "save as new" on my 600 piece by checking "include drawing". The duplication of the part was done well, I renamed it, I updated the dimensions, but the drawing never followed.
So my problem is that I don't know how to follow the drawing on a part that has just been duplicated.
Could you explain to me why? If anyone has an idea of how to do it, I'm all for it.
Agree with @a.eriaud to copy a piece + MEP. Another less easy method is to make up for it on this part, copy and paste the plan, rename it and then in the solidworks explorer on the MEP rename click on reference:
And click on the name of the reference, go and get the new reference, confirm on ok then open the part and save it. The drawing now points to the new part (or assembly)
