CATDrawing and CATPart

Hello

I'm new to CATIA and I would like to know the difference between these two types of files "CATDrawing and  CATPart"?

At the moment I am using the CATIA V5 version.

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards

Hello

The Catpart is a part, i.e. a 3D volume in which all the elements are supposed to be united and rigid. It can be composed of several bodies and construction elements (coordinate system, surfaces, planes, lines, etc.).

Catparts can be assembled in one (or more) Catproducts via the "assembly design" workshop

Catdrawing is a drawing. So a 2D file. It is linked to a catpart or a catproduct (the file alone is not standalone).
