CATIA V5 - Solid Multi-Section Function - Guide Curve Drawing

Hello

Practicing the drawing of a watering can, to make a sketch of the body (file below), I used the "solid multi section" function but only succeeded after creating my 2 guide curves in "distinct" sketches;

If the curves are in the same sketch, Catia shows me an error message that the curves (or sketches) are not connected,

Is there an explanation?

I'm trying to understand especially since I couldn't make a mirror copy (impossible from one sketch to another) while the 2 curves have the same profile, which is a shame.

thank you in advance :-)

Hello

The sketch is a single entity even if it is multi-domain.

To use the 2 curves drawn separately in the same sketch, you must either use the surface fabric and extract the two curves or more practical in the sketch select the curves and then Right click output component.

For the mirror copy in the surface workshop you could have made a symmetry of the sketch.

Hello

Indeed I didn't think about extracting curves and I didn't know the "output component", I'll try again with these 2 tips;

Thank you for your explanations :-) and have a good day,
