Hello

You have tutorials here:

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos-cao?products[0]=Catia

and in particular this one who talks about the beginnings on Catia

http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/tutos-formations/formations/tutoreil-1ers-pas-catia-v5.html

You can watch for yourself on YouTube too.

Are you already using CAD software today?

Edit: you can also subscribe to this group http://www.lynkoa.com/groupes/3d/catia-v5

Hello, the best way to learn how to master a software, and to read the help first and follow tutorials to get to grips with how to modify. (youtube etc..) as Benoit said =)

Then perpreserve!!

As a self-taught person, I encourage you to go in this direction and not to give up;)

Good luck!

Hello.
In addition to the tutorials, the contextual help is rather well done.
Of course, you must have installed the user doc.
If this is the case, all you have to do is click on a function (icon) then press F1 and the help opens automatically.
Works well for common workshops (part, assembly, plan)
The online Doc is available:

http://catiadoc.free.fr/

This site also includes some useful links and some tutorials.

Is it with a view to a future hire?

If that's it, you also need to train yourself on the specificity of the company where you're going to work. (Sheet metal work etc...)

Complement.

On the website

http://catiadoc.free.fr/

there are also the documents of the Dassault training courses.

It's a little old but it's a good start.

As the other members say, if you choose to be self-taught, you have to browse the forums, ask questions about what you're stumbling on , follow the tutorials proposed by the users of the software, on Youtube or on other sites... A simple google search will allow you to find a lot of various help.

On the other hand, if you don't have a version of CATIA, you should know that this software is paid, there is no trial version like other 3D software;).
