Thread chamfer

Hello

Another question about the outside thread: for the chamfer I always make a chamfer that dimensions half the pitch

for example for a thread of M10 pitch 1.5 I make a chamfer of 0.75 at 45°.

I wonder if it's right or not

If not, is there a standard to follow?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Kind regards

For my part, I never grade a thread chamfer since it's standard.

For 3D I put 0.5x45° or pasx45° but that's for representation.

After if it's for a rolled screw there is no chamfer

And yes, the draught drawer's bible is de rigueur for any designer

there are standards to deal with ;-))

Afterwards, as it is marked in your memo, "the dimensions usually respected [...]  are indicated in the following table"

This means that there are no well-defined standards either, but rather habits...

The only requirement is 45°±15° and a minimum of 0.5mm for the entrance chamfers
