I am doing drawing for a DUT Mechanical Engineering internship. It happens that I make plans for the US, when I rate the company likes to display its dimensions in limit dimension and put a written annotation with the nominal rating.
So, on my nominal dimension, I have to put it in decimal and it happens that Windows puts a period with the numeric keypad. Is it possible to change it to a comma?
Second point, is it possible to format the dimension to avoid copying and pasting the nominal dimension? For example, when I click on a length, I immediately have the nominal dimension and limit at the same time?
Thank you in advance for your answers. PS: I apologize in advance for spelling mistakes.
If it's Windows, you have to go to the regional options of Windows but be careful this impacts the general use of the machine, so other software (like XL).
"my nominal rating is written in a footnote" What do you mean? Is it manual?
You can actually set your dimensions in any way you want in the "Document Options". Then you need to save the standard and save your drawing template so that all new plans have the right settings.
It's risky and unconventional to put dimensions in manual notes. I will advise you to insert 2 times your dimension: once in limit and once in normal. The manipulation is as long as creating a note but less risky in case of a change in your 3D.
