Choosing the part model

I have a part that was created with the wrong part template (*.prtdot).
Is it possible to open this room from a chosen model?

To my knowledge, we can't change the model of the part after the fact.
The only solution is to copy the options of a correct part, either manually, which takes a long time, or automatically with, for example, the CopyOption utility from Visiativ:
