Hello, would there be a way to have the cm4 moment of inertia in the mass properties tab in solidworks?
The moments of inertia can be found in the "evaluate" tab in "Section Properties".
I think it's not possible to display this note in mass properties

Hello
By default, the properties contain the following info:
SW-Material
SW-Mass
SW-Density
SW-Volume
SW-SurfaceArea
SW-CenterofMassX
SW-CenterofMassY
SW-CenterofMassZ
SW-IX
SW-Iy
SW-Iz
SW-Px
SW-Py
SW-Pz
SW-LXX
SW-Lxy
SW-Lxz
SW-Lyx
Linking a note to a property should work by writing, for example:
$PRPMODEL:"SW-Lxx"
Is there a way to switch to cm4 instead of mm^4?
You need to change the units of your document: Tools/Options/Document Properties/Units/Custom. In the Length line in the Ground/Section Properties submenu, select centimeters. Then validate.
If this is a recurring need, modify your part and assembly models. Your old documents will keep values in mm. You will have to modify them as needed, or create a maccro to modify them en masse.
