How to Create an Assembly That Can Scale

Hello, I design a timber frame house on solidworks.

So I build panels of different length. As an attachment I have put you a model of a panel that I want to make.

However, the house is likely to evolve during the design of the plan. That's why I'd like to control the length and height dimensions as I wish. I would also like not to have to redo a panel each time but use the previous one, save it under another name and change its dimensions, insert a window etc. I would also like that by changing 1 side, the plan evolves by itself even if ever a panel has to be lengthened or moved a few cm.

Can someone help me with this type of assembly?

Thank you

Bastien Masson.

Can you put it in a ZIP    please

Kind regards

For dimension changes, in your assembly drawing, if you import your dimensions via "Model object", you can modify them in your plan, it will update the part file.

@Zozo_mp: Even by right-clicking on the link and then "Save link as"?

At home, it works.

Hello@PhilppeB

No, it works!

Usually this loads by itself with the SW launcher.

Besides, I can't even save it to the desktop.

I'll try again tomorrow in the cool :-)

it also works for me @ Zozo

having built my own timber frame using the MBOC concept of the CNDB

and made some other wooden house design

I do not understand your way of proceeding

already between the axis it's steps of 60 or 40 which is not the case with you

The why?

this is the size of the OSB3 panels to avoid loss and make the junctions at mid-rise
