How to create a standard cartridge on solidworks that appears pre-filled

There are tutorials on the site that can possibly help:

Hello

See the following tutorials: http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/tutos-formations/tutos/creation-de-modele-de-fond-de-plan.html

and http://www.lynkoa.com/store/fr/tools-et-macros/utilitaires/utilitaire-smartproperties-2013.html

Do you have My Cad utility vehicles under them?

Have a nice day

Hello

Maybe there are other solutions, I drew it, and saved with each format (A3, A4?...) background.

Then you can link properties (date, cartoonist, name of the drawing...) so that some "boxes fill in on their own.

See this tutorial also in addition

@+ ;-)

The siolution of @frepo is very good.

Creating a basemap, drawing your title block and then linking boxes to custom properties is, I think, the easiest and fastest solution.

Good luck

If you already have cartridges under Autocad, you can start from those (it avoids starting from a blank page !!).

  • Just replace the Text with properties related to the 3D model (see the Tutorials mentioned above).
  • Save basemaps (*.slddrt)
  • Save them as Document Template (*.drwdot)

Note: Remember to create 2 directories locally or on your network :

  • SW_Fonds of plan
  • SW_Modèles of documents

In the SolidWorks options, under "File Locations" assign these 2 directories, one for document templates, the other for basemaps.

Attached is our cartridge to show you the "phylosophy" of creation.

Note that you have to automate your cartridge as much as possible, everything or almost everything must be changed automatically (format, scale,......), you have to retrieve the 3D information (SolidWorks and custom properties).
