Hello
I tinker with Catia to discover the software.
I would like to remove material from a plane passing through 3 points in space (see image).
Do you have to create a plan and then sketch on it like in SolidWorks?
If so, how do you create the plans on CATIA?
Thank you

Hi, a simple and illustrated tutorial:

And on this same site there are many tutorials to get started on Catia.

Hello.
You have to create the plan.
We can cut directly by the plane (infinite section).
But if the cut is local, the sketch is created on the plan.
In your case you first have to create the two missing points (points on curve / stop)
Then the three-point plan.

Thank you, .PL, I knew a little about this site but I hadn't seen the creation of a plan.
Just to specify that you have to put the Reference Elements menu to see the Map icon appear.
Thank you gt22 for the tutorials (I already have them)
More questions to come on the subject...
