How do I create a summary in a 15-page client plan? In solidworks

Hello

I regularly make fifteen-page client  plans

The customer plan  is  composed of:

1st cover page

2nd page      of contents  page (the contents  include  all the views.example 3d view, internal view, installation plan, gravity plane ' loading plan. etc).

By filling in the table of contents you should  fill them in the other pages and if possible in the tree of solidarity pages works

And if possible create any page filled in.

Thank you in advance for helping me

Thank you again for all your answers  and I just added a pdf model

Hello

If you fill everything in on the cover page or the summary, you just have to create another basemap or the links will point to the information on the cover page or the summary. This way, with each new plan, it will take its data in the cover page or the summary page.

Hello

If your sheets still have the same name and order, then I advise you to use the macro I proposed here when you start your project:

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/macro-enregistrer-sous-avec-solidworks

Thus, you make a copy of your general assembly under a new name as well as its drawing (and so on: you use the macro each time you change a subassembly or part).

But it is not possible to dynamically link to the sheet name: if sheet 2 changes its name, the table of contents will not be updated, as shown here:

Otherwise, without knowing exactly how it works, there is solidworks composer which seems to do this very well.

On the other hand, no idea of the cost. Let's see if the investment is worth it or if you continue to do it on the mano.

I do have a question??? What software is it for??? In the question it's for SolidWorks and in the PDF of the last post it's for Inventor....

That's what we did with inventer and now by switching to SolidWorks  I would like to do it but automatically.

We had this solution for inventor but for solidworks we still don't have solutions and my question is still relevant. And so we are still waiting for your proposals and your help.

Thanks again..

Hello, no automatic solution:  you can copy the original drawing (or simply the summary sheet) to update the links by hand

Or create a macro if you know vba programming

I solved my problem for l4moment manually and I started thinking about finding a complete  solution with internal links etc at the level of mycad as an improvement

Thanks again to all
