How to create an equation that is visible at any level of an assembly

Hi all

I'm looking for a way, to put it simply, to create an equation in a secondary assembly from a dimension of a part of the primary assembly.

If I do the equation in the primary assembly, the equation is not visible in the secondary assembly.
And if I do the equation in the secondary assembly, I can't select a dimension from the primary assembly.

I'm sure there's a possibility, but I can't find it.

Hello @treza88

I've already wanted that too, but I haven't found it.

I had thought of a lead but not tested; with a common equation file exported, then imported and linked in all ASMs.

Thank you @Sylk, for your suggestion, but I think it's not exactly what I need.

It seems to me that you are proposing an equation that would be linked to several assemblies, this is not my case, I certainly expressed myself badly.

It's in the same assembly, and when I spoke of " secondary assembly", it is perhaps rather " sub-assembly " that I should have written.

It's okay I found, I just had a problem with the syntax of writing the equation.

Indeed, sorry.

Glad you identified the problem. :ok_hand:
