How do you unfold a helical ferrule?

I would like to unfold a cylindrical sheet metal in a spiral (see attached file) but I can't unfold it. Does anyone have an idea?

You need to transform your helical curves into 3D sketches

and also that there is a straight (plane) part that you will keep as a flat face

Here is a WWTP for our master of a simple padawan (just kidding).... he only wants to develop the central part. The part is that but when I did the STEP he put the 2 parts removed...

I tried with a composite curve but I still can't get an unfolded sheet metal.

Why a composite curve??? You haven't looked at my tutorial and your modified unfolding part that I put in the post???
