How to exploit the "Estimated Cost" property of a part?

Hello

As a beginner on inventor, I notice that there is an information "Estimated cost", in the properties of the part, Project tab.

How to use this feature? Is it possible to assign a cost to different parts and thus get the price of a complete assembly?

Thank you for your help.

Here are some video tutorials in English for costing inventor

@+ ;-))

Hello, it's a priori very little used, and most people advise to do Excel exports, see this link from 2013, the most recent one I found:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-general-discussion/estimates-cost-from-bom-parts-list/td-p/4331939

Otherwise you have to start iLogic "programming" but I haven't found a concrete example, see this link which can be interesting:

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2014/FRA/Inventor/files/GUID-8CAEA21E-A604-4D0A-8F06-3FA5B693CE6B-htm.html

Note: It seems to me that the links in GT22 are for an iCost paid external program.
