On two of my machines (a station and a laptop) both in W10 and SW 2021, I have an unstoppable trick to make SW waffle!
Could you test yourself with simple parts if you have the same awesome feature. To be honest, the feature only seems to be available on ASMs, but not a single part.
If I use the section view function, there is a bug that when I select the circular areas indicated in blue with a red arrow, it works normally.
On the other hand, if I select the areas of the section indicated in red with green arrows, it plants SW and this regardless of the assembly. And that's not glop
To overcome this disadvantage, I am obliged to create a sketch and a removal of material from a middle shot.
I don't remember getting this PB with the 2019 version.
Under 2019 sp05 (and previous versions) it was never possible for me to select the surfaces that are in the cutting plane.
What I've already seen is when you select a top surface for example, it's that you see its overall shape (uncut) and not necessarily on the same plane which is quite confusing, but it doesn't make SW crash especially since they removed the zero thickness surface problems.
Well the problem was solved by the hot line, although it could not reproduce on their machines just like you the PB and no similar pb was listed among the experts. On the other hand, we could reproduce the PB indefinitely on my machines.
On the workstation, it was necessary to clean up the C++ modules and put the right modules back in.
The problem is due to the fact that the de-installation of the old versions was not done in full during the installation of the 2021
An intervention at the level of the BDR has finished improving the whole.
As for the laptop, a little cleaning at the BDR level was enough to solve the problem because there was never an install of SW before 2021.
Thank you for your opinions which allowed me to see that it was not a SW bug.
