Yes of course I can unfold otherwise I wouldn't even talk about it...

In fact I use this method very often because our machines have sheet metal fairings. These fairings are shaped like an airplane wing and therefore the skins of the fairings are splines. Not much choice so for me if I want to send the unfolded ones to the laser...
