How to make a dish with a sheet metal twist

two flat parts at the end and a twist in the middle

Something like that?

Made under SW13

Hello

First you have to insert the sheet metal module, then create the twist with a propeller and then a scan of the profile following this helix.

@gt22 I was answering you with images and explanations when I was stopped in my tracks. I had thought of you.

It would be nice one day to be able to post several files in the same post without having to go through compressed folders!!

I agree 1000% with you

that we can post images on the wires too

it's SUPER annoying to answer 2 / 3 times by the fact alone

that it is possible to develop these images and files on a single answer

a picture is + that a thousand words

I covered Benoît's play

and I simplified it into a function, and by removing the rigid edge option it's prettier!

@jfaradon, I'm going to do my @gt22:

"Post images for everyone to enjoy

Thank you"

That's it...

A view with the building tree, or even if there is only one function left, with the function edited!

yes @ jfaradon

you're right only one extrusion

Postponement of adjustment plans

and removal of rigid edges

is more flexible

and the file is less heavy

 Hi @ lacasse38

well in this case since you won't be able to do it in sheet metal

It's up to you to measure the lengths of the blank and make a flat piece according to these lengths

you have no other choice ;-(

See attached images with the before and after twist dimension via Evaluate and Measure tool

when you can't you have to adapt to what is possible
