How do you make a half-view without a section in a section view?

Hello everyone,
I have a question because I want to make an uncut part in a section view.
I'm attaching an example, I tried to redo this layout but I can't get the same visual.
If you have any tips, I'm all for it.

Thanks in advance!

Look at the local cutting side:

otherwise you have a slightly circumvented solution to create a config with a removal of material and then in your drawing you manually hatch the desired areas.

Hello
In the drawing you draw a rectangle of the area you want to hide then in the " Drawing " tab you crop the view

It is possible to create this type of section in the 3D model (multi-plane regional section with multiple intersections selected) and then save the section view for reuse in the drawing. The cut line will have to be manually added in the drawing for the understanding of the drawing.
That being said, the adjustment of the depth of cut to generate this type of representation easily could be the subject of a request for improvement...

Hello!!
Here is my solution to remedy this partial cut representation.
See attached screenshots.

    • Projected the view following the section and superimposed it by blocking it in relation to the origin in horizontal and vertical on the section view by checking in the definition of the section following my screenshot.

The other solutions are also good.
Good luck.

Thank you all for your solutions and hacks. But apparently there is nothing automatic or configurable in SW to make it "simple".
Indeed, like many others, I manage to make this kind of cut by tinkering with a projected view and a section view, then cropping one or the other.

Thank you again!!

Hello

There is the possibility of doing half sections since the 2020 version I think

Indeed, Pierre, that's the best answer.
