If you want to upgrade to a service pack of the same version of Solid.
Simply download the executable from the SolidWorks Customer Portal (requires an account): https://login.solidworks.com/nidp/idff/sso?id=cpenglish&sid=0&option=credential&sid=0
If you want to shift to another version of SolidWorks without keeping the previous one. All you have to do is run the installation. The manager will offer you to keep or update your version.
Select your choice. Then it is important to check the installation path, the folder path for drilling assistance and the toolbox.

Hello, you can also go directly through the Solidworks installation manager which will offer you to update Solidworks to a new service pack, you can choose your service pack and afterwards, the installation manager will download and install all the elements you need.

If it's to go from one service pack to another, no worries like that.
On the other hand, if it's to evolve to another version, you either have to do a separate installation by renaming the Solidworks and Slidworks data folders by differentiating them by version.
Or even disinstall the old version if it is no longer needed.
