just put resolved on an answer
or make an answer by giving the information that solves the said question
it will be more meaningful for the follow-up of questions
and click on Resolved
Only the poster of the question can click on solved in an answer

In the answer that you consider to have solved your problem there is at the bottom right "marked as best answer" and if you click on it the question will be closed by this answer... See attachment
