Normal because the stamping cannot be folded in this part and when it folds it loses function hence the msg and the holes in place of your stampings.

okay so what do you do if you want to make stampings on a cylindrical face
Setup, one with the flat stampings like the one you had before the folded and then you make another one with the stampings in the folded part.

Note that this is logical since flat means "totally flat" so without "bump".
But fortunately @ac cobra is watching and in addition gives the right solution ;-)
