Hi all
How to force a property (subscript) of a 3D(. SLDPRT and SLDASM) to track the ownership of its 2D (. SLDDRW) associated ?
When we make our 2Ds, we enter the index of the part in question in the properties of the 2D, through a macro that will draw from SAP data. So when we entered our hint on the 2D, I want the hint to be reflected on the 3D part or assembly as well.
Do you have the solution to oblige a property?
Thank you very much in advance
Hello and welcome;
We should be told a little more:
=> Solidworks version.
=>Type and name of the SAP (ERP) used.
…
Technically, if you already use a macro to manage your clues to your Solidworks Drawings, you should be able to modify it (the macro) to propagate this clue to your 3Ds without too much difficulty.
If you use the Visiativ tools (MycadTools), it is possible to do this with their Smartproperties tools:
Kind regards.
Logically it would be better for the mep to receive the index from the 3D file (prt or asm), which would read the ERP.
Namely, that technically, a MEP can be linked to several 3Ds and a 3D can be linked to several MEPs...
I would have said the same thing.
Why do it the other way around?
Hi all!
I agree with @stefbeno and @remrem on their idea of bringing the PRP index from 3D to 2D.
Personally, that's how I do it and not only... all my cartridge is filled in by the 3D model via a PRP form (plan type / plan name / number / index / etc...)
so anyone can make the plan, the cartouche will always be right according to what will be filled in the 3D model.
Hello
with us only the MEP is indexed.
The title block is automatically filled with the information entered in the Smartproperties mask (designation, origin of parts, type of part, TTH, TTS, etc.) of the 3D.
With this practice the 3D used is always up to date ==> less error
