How do you put a view on a plan, with two positions? One in the low position and one in the raised position with dotted lines?

Hello

I would like to be able to put a view on a dotted plane, to show a machine in two positions (down and up). Is it possible on Solidworks to show two positions on the same view? One view with the machine line solid and the other with dotted lines. I don't know if I was clear, but if you didn't understand me, I'll try to be clearer.

Kind regards

This is quite possible. In your drawing, you must use the "view from another position" function in the "drawing" toolbar

Hello, on the other hand you have to have both configurations to create! one in the low position and the other in the raised position.

Have a nice day

Thank you very much for your answers, on the other hand, I did the two configurations on two different recordings, can we enter the two configurations on the same assembly?

Yes, normally you just need to add an assembly configuration in the ConfigurationManager by right-clicking   on the top of the tree.

But how do you animate assembly movements? I found this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rHp7Zumndc , but I can't see how it manages to fit all these positions.

I figured out how you can create constraint drivers, but then, how can you use them in a drawing? When I click on "View from another position", I am not offered the positions I have created in my assembly

Click on the View icon in position and then click on the view to be modified.

May the force be with you
