How do I change the bending area table?

Hello

I would like to make a change,... mmmmm, 2 maybe, on the folding area table.

Will you see if it is possible to modify this table, I don't see any possibility via the Toolbox?

Mmmmmm,... I'm not waiting for a right-click repetition to insert a column in the drawing, but to modify the template, content and title.

Thank you for your help,

Kind regards,

Bending Zone Table

You can specify bend area or bend loss values for a sheet metal part in a bend area table. You can also specify K-factor values in their own bend zone tables. The bend zone table contains values for bend radius, bend angle, and workpiece thickness.

You can use two types of bending area table:

  • A text file with the .btl extension
  • An integrated Excel spreadsheet

Use a sheet metal jig/bend area table to obtain thickness and bend values with a single table.

A comparison of the two methods is shown below:

Excel Spreadsheet Text File
When you share your parts with a colleague, don't forget to share your folding zone table. When you share your part with a colleague, your folding zone table is automatically included since it is integrated.
Tables in text format can be edited in a variety of applications.Excel spreadsheets can be edited in Microsoft Excel only.
  • It is recommended that you use the Excel spreadsheet unless you have bend area tables from SolidWorks 2000 or earlier.
  • If you are editing a bend area table that contains multiple bend thickness tables, the radii must be the same. For example, if you insert a new bend radius into a bend area table that contains multiple bend thickness tables, you must insert the new value into all tables. However, the angles may differ.

You can edit a table of bend areas in a separate Excel window. Click Edit  > Fold Area Table > Edit in a new window. After you modify the table, save it and then reinsert it into the room for the changes to take effect.

Sheet metal tables in Solidworks

Hello

Just see where you saved it and open it to edit anything you want, saving the original just in case...

In fact, I didn't think I'd be able to create the bend loss table, but to modify the table with the bend marks and radii found in the drawings.

An explanation is necessary it seems to me

What's the problem?

The radii you find in the folding table of your drawing come from your sheet metal piece

So it's up to you to define the radius when creating your sheet metal piece

And what benchmarks are you talking about?

we have abandoned the calculation of the presses with the folding tables; not precise enough. We work with the K factor...

Yes, my reflection is becoming clearer on the possibility of modifying, or creating a substitution table of the "bendtable-standard.sldbndtbt" template.

Thank you for your help,

Hello

The answer has just been provided by the hotline.

The file must be encrypted in the format by Solidworks, so it's very simple, right click in save as pointing to the upper left box, after customization.

Have a good late afternoon.
