Hello
I don't think it's possible without development (so paid version of DraftSight).
One can insert an Excel sheet by Inserting > Object > Excel Sheet.
But this will not drive the drawing!
So why not replace the dimension values with letters, which we will fill in in Excel? See attached image.
Edit: close Excel and then "View > Rebuild All" in DraftSight so that Excel changes are taken into account.
Otherwise, you will have to go through SolidWorks and a part family, then a macro (or BatchConverter?) to create the DWG of each configuration.
Everything is said by @Lucas...
Yes, that's exactly what I want to do. Indicate the dimensions by letters and enter the values of the dimensions in the table exceL.
But the design will not be changed!
This will remain an indication.
I confirm what Lucas says,
If you have Soliworks at your disposal, the question doesn't even arise. Knowing that under Draftsight, even with the paid version to have macros, it would be very cumbersome, or even unusable depending on the needs. Drafsight macros can be interesting for printing automation, BOM retrieval, cartridge implementation,... In short, it's frozen, and on a large volume, otherwise it's interesting!
A+
OK, thank you for your answers. I stay on SW14. That's because not everyone uses SW, hence the interest in switching to drafsight.
Thank you
