How to make a flattened coil?

I would like to know how to hang on to make a flat coil. Knowing that I know how to use the sweep and propeller/spiral option. (see image to better understand)

You have to use the same functions as for your other question, (edit: Use a circle for the nominal diameter) and then for the shape of the wire, draw a rounded rectangular shape.

Edit 2: Taking care to align and constrain the two sketches;)

I get this result, the center distance this side well on the first circle made just before the use of the "helix/balance spring" tool?

I think that the gt22 tutorial must be the most appropriate for an oblong spring:

You mean making an slotted hole and using the spiral option? for this is not possible, the sketch must necessarily contain a simple circle. Or maybe I misunderstood you

Yes, indeed it is not possible to do it with the spiral function.
