How to retrieve the material drop-down menu in the featuremanager tree

hello I no longer have access to the drop-down menu when I right click on Material in the featuremanager tree.

Can you tell me how to remedy this problem.

Thank you

@+ ;-)

Trying to customize the materials menu? Were they not hidden?

Otherwise check that the files are still present in the install directory (for the basic libraries sw :d in and sw).  it's in  /Program Files\SolidWorks Corp\SolidWorks\lang\english\sldmaterials.

or search for a file with the .sldmat extension.

I don't know if by reloading the settings, it also influences the materials. Probably because if you have created custom libraries, you must have them in the options/file/hardware database locations.

You have to go to the Options menu  > FeatureManager and in the Show/Hide objects in the tree box, for Materials, you have to set it to Show (See on the attached image).

You can go directly to this option by hovering over the part name in the FeatureManager, clicking on the right button and selecting "Hidden Objects from the Tree" and then Show/Hide Objects from the Tree.

@alain.erp: In his image, you can see that there are the materials in the tree. It is not on a hidden menu.

@d.tellier: and if you try by right-clicking on the part (at the top of the featuremanager), normally in the menu you have materials, is there a possibility to choose the material at this level?

Hello

Have you changed a file location lately?

If you click on Custom menu there is nothing? If this is indeed the case:

go to the registry, in the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 20XX\general\Excel Edit Open and change the value to 0

Hello

You can try resetting the SolidWorks options by renaming the following registry keys with SolidWorks closed:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\Solidworks 2014

If this does not solve your problem, delete the new key created by SolidWorks and rename the old key with the correct name.
