How to delete Unused files in design folder on PDM?

Hello 

I would like to know how you do to clean up (delete all unused files) in your design folders on the PDM?

before outside PDM I opened my assembly and I deleted all the files in the folder it deleted only the files not used in my assembly.

Do you have a method on the PDM?

We work in the following way, one machine per project file. We have 3 states Study (initial file state) Proto and Valid

When we are at the end of the project , the machine  has gone into the "VALID" state under EPDM. This implies that our CAD files (prt, asm, slddrw) will be in a valid state.

Once the machine is validated, we delete the files  in the "STUDY"  state and keep the files in "proto" and "valid" state for our traceability.

To perform the deletion, we search on a state and a folder from the EPDM lookup

Several solutions:

  1. You open your study, and you do a pack-and-go in a definitive file. It only transfers you the files used in the study.
  2. If you have the MyCad tools you can use ProjectManager
  3. or use WhereUsed to know if a file is being used in other files.
