How to use Function Recognition on CREO 3.0

Hello

I have a problem when I use the function recognition function on a STEP model (an aluminum profile in order to be able to modify the extrusion length) a message appears "fatal error", when I try to do a function recognition on a SW model for example, it tells me that it does not find the function even though I have selected the right surface.

If someone can enlighten me on how to use this function. Thank you!

I don't have access to this feature.

On the other hand, if I need to touch up a step, I rebuild by relying on its geometry either by removing or adding material.
