Sometimes, to my great surprise, when opening an assembly or a plan, I have one or more so-called "corrupted" parts. I never got the error message offering me to recover the part(s) and I am forced to redo them from scratch.
I most often get an error message when saving my plan telling me "failed to register because the document was corrupted".
Could I have any advice to either recover the parts, or prevent them from becoming "corrupted"?
Hello Regarding the opening of the assembly, there is an option that can be useful: It consists of opening sw. Scroll to the assembly directory from sw. In the configuration drop-down list you will have to create an advanced configuration with the option to delete parts (from memory, only hierarchy), so the assembly opens and by going through the parts one by one you will determine the corrupted part,
For impossible to save because of corrupted part, try to open the part in question, rebuild, save it first and then save the assembly (it happened to me and I solved it this way),
To avoid the problem I don't know any more than you, on my side it's saving happen after making several copies, or saving pil at the time of the automatic save (!?)
Yes, automatic backup is known to cause problems if you are unlucky enough to save at the same time. Start by deactivating it and see if there is corruption of new parts. Another cause could be the storage medium; a faulty disk, or an unstable connection for a network backup. To check, or in general, it would be good to save the assembly and parts to a reliable local disk and then a copy to the "suspicious" location.
