Hello

 

I would like to know if it is possible by Solidworks Explorer or standard solidworks tools; to carry out a search allowing me to know in the drawing sheets the name of the configurations used.

Hello, it's possible in SolidWorks Explorer but I think you can only do it in the PDMWorks vault.

This should be possible with the SmartBom utility from myCADtools.

It seems to me that SmartBOM does not process any drawing files.

On the other hand, with the INTEGRATION utility you can:

 

The conditions are:

  • The document is a plan.

 

Operations:

  • Create a control report

Set the report name and location

  • Place free text in a report

Choose the name of the previously created report

In Enter your text: $FileName; $Configuration

In case of: Success

With the "WhereUsed" tool you can retrieve this info

The tool is comparable to the SolidWorks Explorer case search,

but in addition with this notion of configuration

In addition, it does not only indicate the direct parent plan or assembly, but goes back to the leading document
