Plotter Configuration

Hello
We have just changed our plotter and therefore the print driver, and I am having trouble setting up the printing of the plans on our new plotter.

Via Pdf and adobe no worries the formats are recognized and comes out in the right direction and format automatically, on the other hand under SW, for an A2 for example it systematically comes out in the wrong direction and in a magnified way (not at 100% of its real size).
Here are the printing options available through the driver:

For the properties of the MEP Template File, it is impossible to change the paper size without affecting the other formats:

For the layout:

There is probably something I miss but I can't put my finger on it.

Hi @sbadenis

I saw that you clicked on " print background " in your 1st image
Does it change anything to uncheck it?

As I understand you @sbadenis it's hell to set up correctly...
To try (at any rate):

What would happen if you changed the " A2 " format to " A0 " in your layouts... Keeping the scale at 100%?

Note: NEVER download the Hp Smart Driver Manager...  on "paper " it seems like a good idea but since I installed it for our Designjet Plotter... I have the same problems as you: Impossible to set up a suitable print.
In addition, the HP program is impossible to remove (in addition to being intrusive)

Hello @Maclane
For all intents and purposes: https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/document/ish_2887531-2521848-16

Hello
I have almost the same tracker and I don't have this problem. The landscape print comes out well in landscape and the scale is OK, same for the cut at H420
Here is my cfg

@coin37coin no change with the background unchecked.
@Maclane with A0 in the layout, the print is indeed on the right scale but centered in the middle of an A0 with a lot of paper to throw away with each print, margin of 30cm... but we are moving forward
@Le_Bidule we had the same tracker as you before and it also worked very well then we changed trackers and it also worked. And since our IT department updated the driver (it's a print server so no installation to choose from for us), we are experiencing this problem.
I wonder if it doesn't come from the installed version which doesn't detect the paper format well since SW.
If I look at your settings in properties you have A2.
And we an A0...
If I force it to A2, it works, but if I switch to a new plane A1 the properties remain on A2.
The properties are not saved in the model but on the computer, which is disturbing.
I'm going to end up believing that HP hired a former dev from Dassault!

@Le_Bidule when you change format (A2-A1 or A0) the options in properties also change?

What additional options do you have under:
Parameters... (opposite "Margin/cutter")?
and under
Custom... (Document Format)

In the Second, I think you can adjust the margins (So you don't print an A2 in the middle of an A0)
And in the first one, there may be another option for auto-rotation...

The subsidiary question:
How do you save your settings in " default settings" mode if the print server is managed by your IT department  ?

Yes, it updates automatically

We do have a print server but settings saved on each workstation.
Only the driver is imposed, and not the setting of the parameters, even if a basic profile is installed, so it is modifiable.
For personalized it allows you to modify/customize the paper format (here A0)

For parameter I was on 1 I will try option 2 (and check at the bottom remove the white areas:

Not much better with the above settings, if I leave A0 in the size of the paper, it sticks me an A2 in the portrait direction, without margin at the bottom and at the top but centered in width (2 paper cuts to do.)
If I change the size to A2 it stretches it again.
Before, the A2 printed well in the most economical and non-centered direction, there was just one paper cutter to do and I saved paper (and time...)

In fact, it's A1 that you need.

What if instead of removing all the margins, you left only one, only on one side, to stick your plan to the edge of the sheet?

And you can't ask them to downgrade the driver back to the one that worked?
